Power Supply u::Lux Switch IP

The u::Lux Switch – IP versions are connected to the control via Ethernet. Both the data connection and the power supply for the u::Lux Switch are provided via the network cable.

With its ability to operate multiple u::Lux Switches on one Ethernet strand, the u::Lux Switch RJ45 (daisy-chain wiring) goes outside the PoE specification and therefore usually requires its own component to feed in the energy (=u::Lux NetInj Power or u::Lux NetCon Power or comparable devices).

The u::Lux Switch IDC (star wiring) is a real PoE device and can be supplied with power via a standard PoE switch.

NetCon Power

  • The NetCon Power serves as power supply for up to 20 u::Lux Switches RJ45 (2 lines with each 10 pieces.).
  • top-hat rail installation
  • requires 24V DC
  • It’s a real 4-port Ethernetswitch with 100MBit. 2 of the ports are used for the connection and the energy supply of the u::Lux Switches RJ45.
  • The 2 remaining ports are used to establish further communication connections (e.g. to the control and to the configuration PC) or they can be used for cascading additional NetCon Power.

NetInj Power

  • double injector (Attention: No Ethernetswitch!)
  • Through 2 Ethernet lines the NetInj Power supplies up to 20 u::Lux Switches RJ45 (2 lines with each 10 pieces) with energy.
  • top-hat rail installation (REG)
  • requires 24V DC
  • Each Ethernet line has one input and one output.
  • The outputs serve to connect the u::Lux Switches RJ45.
  • May require a separate Ethernetswitch to establish the communication connections to the control and to the configuration PC.

PoE-Switch

  • Any PoE Switch (min. class 1) can be used as supply for the u::Lux Switch LSA/IDC.
  • We recommend using the levelOne products FEP-0800 (8-Port) and FEP-1600 (16-Port).
